B.A, M.A
Convocation was the last week in May. It was a wonderful day and was still exciting even though it is the second time. The ceremony was held in the morning. I got to the A&C and picked up my gown and hood then had about an hour to sit and wait. The Ceremony was good, even though it was a little long (the honorary degree was given to a philosopher, and his introduction was about 10 minutes longer than needed). There were a lot of degrees conferred but in some cases only a handful of people received a particular degree. The majority of graduates at my session was getting their social work degrees or their M.D. I got to talk to one of the Rels professors which was wonderful and graduated along side a couple of my classmates. After the ceremony and pictures the parents and I went to lunch.
Overall it was a good day. It felt great to have all the hard work that went into the degree acknowledged. I did have one moment when I thought of AS.T and how they can suck it.
